Jasmin Capital endowment fund is making a donation to ASM 17, an association of parents of children with Smith Magenis syndrome.
This rare neurodevelopmental disorder, of genetic origin, is characterized by an intellectual disability of varying severity, behavioral problems and sleep disorders. Patients have distinctive physical features and numerous malformations (e.g., heart, kidney).
The association aims to:
to raise awareness of the syndrome among both health and education professionals and the general public,
to support medical research programs,
to keep abreast of drug treatments and different therapies that can bring comfort to people affected by the syndrome,
to provide concrete help to families through advice, support, actions and financial assistance,
to organize events to raise funds, to look for sponsors.
